Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and enjoyed our Christmas song.
Over the Christmas period, some of you may have heard or read about one of my colleagues, Bob Brookes, who saved a member of the public’s life whilst he was at work before Christmas.
Bob has worked for the NEPP for nearly 5 years and was working in Witham when he became aware that someone had collapsed in a nearby shop. As an ex-Army medical Technician, Bob rushed to help the casualty who was suffering a heart attack. Bob and the shop’s first aider performed first aid and CPR for nearly 10 minutes before the paramedics arrived.
The casualty was later taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital and is now recovering at home.
Everyone here at the NEPP is incredibly proud of Bob and we’re really pleased to hear that the gentleman in question is recovering well.
Well done Bob!
